Wallets can get lost or stolen and it kills us inside to think that our clients would invest in one of our wallets and be left completely unprotected in the case of an unfortunate event.  That's why we've created the Lost Wallet Promise.  Here is how it works:

To all of our clients; if your wallet is ever stolen or lost due to unfortunate circumstances please contact us at Braithwaite and we would be glad to replace it for you. This is our Lost Wallet Promise and it's only for you, our client.

We've found that our clients are really top-notch, honest people and we have no problems trusting you in this way.  In fact, we don't know of another company that does.  As all of our wallets are limited edition, the wallet you wish to replace may no longer be in stock in the future.  In this event, you will get to choose from any of the wallets that we currently do have in stock.

THE DETAILS

Cypress is our take on the money-clip. Instead of installing a generic and poorly designed metal clip on the wallet, we pushed the idea further: the entire wallet is the clip, itself! The second of our new front pocket wallets, Cypress goes where no other money clip has ventured.

The Layout

With its unique ‘half-bifold' design, Cypress was designed to hold a nice wad of cash. This is exactly what I take with me to the clubs. The wallet "clips" through the use of a magnetic enclosure, strong enough to hold your wallet closed but not strong enough to de-gauss your cards. Snap it closed to add that extra punctuation to your speech.

The three card slots are there just so you can take your essentials with you: identification and a couple of credit cards. Whether you are a man of minimal needs or a preparing yourself for a night out, Cypress is the tool you've likely been missing.

The Leather

Introducing, Woodstock, a leather with a ‘rolled' finish giving the leather a look similar to the grain of a dark, African hardwood. Despite its bizarre appearance, the leather itself is left relatively unfinished. An owner of Cypress will notice after about a month or two that the leather starts to darken quite readily. Over 3-4 months of regular use, Woodstock will develop a dark, shiny patina making the association to hardwood even more noticeable. Woodstock is stiff and thick, a truly 'heirloom' quality leather.

The Lining

Lining the interior of Cypress is our silk charmeuse. Cream colored and clean, the weave of charmeuse has an orientation, or grain, to it also. For the function of pulling out a crisp bill, the weave is orientated horizontally, the same direction as the Woodstock exterior. The proper orientation of the charmeuse eases the removal of your bills from their holster, letting them slide out like a sword from a sheath.

The Thread

Cypress is one of the three wallets in our new series. For this series, we decided to try something new: sewing the whole wallet with bonded KevlarTM thread. For those unfamiliar with the properties of KevlarTM, it is the bullet-proofing in a bullet-proof vest. One thread has the ability to hold 35 lbs. without breaking. As such, we had to give special instructions to our manufacturing team not to try and break the thread with their hands because the thread will cut them!

Magnetic Enclosure

The magnetic enclosure is strong enough to secure the wallet but not demagnetize your cards.  In order to de-magnetize your cards, a magnetic power of about 1000 Gauss is required.  The magnets in our wallets are ~200-300 Gauss.  The power of two 1000 Gauss magnets snapping together is enough to severly pinch skin.
